Scoring explained:

We've scanned tens of thousands of estimates with our scoring system. No scoring system is perfect - not the carrier's, not the TPA's, and not ours. With that, the goal is not to achieve a 10 on all files. What you want to see is incremental improvements in the score between the initial upload and the final submission when using AiME's Revise feature. These changes can be seen graphically represented on your Aime dashboard. Typical improvements seen across hundreds of estimators in our initial testing is an improvement of .5 of one point. You can learn more about accuracy scores here. If you have any questions, concerns, or feedback please let us know by emailing at: info@AskAiME.com

GENERAL

YOU HAVE SUBMITTED THE FILE AS A !GENERIC SUBMISSION US ESTIMATE, BELOW ARE SOME OF THEIR SPECIFIC REQUIREMENTS, OR IN THE CASE THAT I DO NOT YET KNOW THE SPECIFIC REQUIREMENTS, GENERAL BEST PRACTICES ARE NOTED
Opening Statement:

General best practices for the opening statement may describe and summarize the loss, the source/cause of loss (when known), and convey any further information that is important and relevant to the submitted estimate. Perhaps mention the call time the claim was received if after hours are included in the estimate, the category of water (where applicable), discussions and approvals from the adjuster, the need for any site protection beyond what is typical, etc.. Suggest including the estimator name, cell number, and email address as part of the signature.

Closing Statement:

General best practices for the closing statement could include, disclaimers, upgrade information, etc.

Overhead & Profit:

As per your agreement, if unknown, a discussion with the adjuster might be best.

Photos:

General best practices for photos are to include photos of the front facade, the cause or source of the loss, all affected areas, pre-existing damage, pre demo and post demo photos, photos of any significant site protection or containment. All photos should be labelled (with area they were taken)

Compliance Review

THE FOLLOWING ITEMS WERE IDENTIFIED IN THE ESTIMATE, AND ARE NOT PERMITTED AND/OR LIMITED PER !GENERIC SUBMISSION US PROTOCOL:

John Smith 406 Informational Response

I noticed the use of vinyl sheet goods in this area, and also the application of glue over a concrete substrate. As a note, the line item description for PLKGDC and PLKGDW mentions that it is intended for use on vinyl plank applications. Consider removing this line item, or add a good note to explain why additional adhesive may be needed. Or perhaps your vinyl sheet goods need to be changed to reflect vinyl plank.

Please review in following rooms/areas:

Main Level - Entry/Foyer
Line Item # 8 FCV AV
Line Item # 9 FCV PLKGDC

John Smith 4215 Low Severity

I've noticed that you are detaching and resetting a ventilation fan. If you are only detaching the cover, and not the entire unit, consider ELE BFCRS or HVC BVCRS

Please review in following rooms/areas:

Main Level - Main Bathroom
Line Item # 14 ELE BFANVRS

John Smith 267 Medium Severity

I found an item for replacing a door unit in the same room as replacing casings. If the casings are for the same doorway as the unit, please note that casings are included in the line item for a door unit. To see what type of casings are assumed, check the components. Where the casing needed are of better quality than that assumed, the assumed casings can appear as a credit in the estimate, and the casing that are required for this application could be added separately. Ignore this recommendation if the casings are for another door, window, etc.

Please review in following rooms/areas:

Main Level - Bedroom 1
Line Item # 44 DOR AV
Line Item # 45 FNC C

John Smith 4964 High Severity

In this area, it looks like you are replacing drywall using a LF estimate item and also using the PATCHJ estimate item to tie into existing drywall. Please note that PATCHJ is considered included in the DRY LF series of line items. Please disregard this note if you are using this application of PATCHJ for drywall repairs other than a LF line item. When using PATCHJ, consider the most cost effective way to estimate drywall replacement - such as the removal of more drywall to lessen the use of PATCHJ.

Please review in following rooms/areas:

Main Level - Bedroom 2
Line Item # 59 DRY PATCHJ
Line Item # 58 DRY LF

John Smith 1961 Critical Severity

The charge for the soap dish is typically included in the line item for the surround. Confirm with the line item description, and remove if necessary.

Please review in following rooms/areas:

Line Item # 166 TIL SDISH
Line Item # 165 TIL TUB+

ESTIMATE LINE ITEM REVIEW

THE FOLLOWING ITEMS HAVE BEEN IDENTIFIED FOR CONSIDERATION:

John Smith (Recommendation) 1740 Informational Response

In painting the walls and ceiling, review and consider if there are two colors and PNT P2+ may apply. A difference in the sheen of the paint for the walls vs. ceiling may also require consideration.

Please review in following rooms/areas:

Main Level - Entry/Foyer
Line Item # 7 PNT P2

John Smith (Recommendation) 1864 Low Severity

Installation of vinyl flooring includes some surface preparation. Should this floor require additional preparation (perhaps the existing subfloor was kept and is in poor condition), review and consider if adding FCV PREP or PREP+ is appropriate. Recommend adding a good note to explain, and perhaps accompany it with a photo. Note that this is not likely needed if the underlayment has been replaced.

Please review in following rooms/areas:

Main Level - Entry/Foyer
Line Item # 8 FCV AV

John Smith (Recommendation) 84 Medium Severity

Scraping ceiling texture (especially painted texture) can damage the ceiling. A skim coat is often required before texturing to repair damages caused during the scraping. Consider if DRY TEX++ is appropriate for this job.

Please review in following rooms/areas:

Main Level - Main Bathroom
Line Item # 13 DRY ACR

John Smith (Recommendation) 4723 High Severity

If you are replacing the flooring in the bathroom, detaching and resetting (or just resetting/installing) the toilet, will often be required.

Please review in following rooms/areas:

Main Level - Main Bathroom
Line Item # 14 ELE BFANVRS
Line Item # 24 FCT AV

John Smith (Recommendation) 15 Critical Severity

Light bulbs may not be included in the material price for light fixtures. Review and consider if there is a need for compact fluorescent (LIT BLCFA), incandescent bulbs ( LIT BLI) for standard fixtures, Globes (LIT BLIGL) for multi-bar lights, or LED (LIT BLL) Note: Similar options are available in the HSW category

Please review in following rooms/areas:

Main Level - Bedroom 1
Line Item # 54 LIT AV
